Lisa Wade is a cultural critic and professor at Occidental College. She holds a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an M.A. in human sexuality from New York University. Lisa has published extensively on U.S. discourse about female genital cutting, hook up culture on college campuses, and the social significance of the body.
